2 bikers charged with fleeing cops

JOHNSTOWN — Two men on motorcycles led police on a chase Monday after officers said they were clocked going 66 mph in a 35 mph zone on Elton Road in Richland Township.

At one point the bikers cut in front of a school bus with children on board, Richland police said.

In a criminal complaint, police said they tried to stop Adam Richard Kelly, 25, and Christian James Forosisky, 20, for speeding when the two fled, passing numerous vehicles in a no-passing zone.

The chase continued onto state Route 160 heading toward Adams Township. Both motorcycles turned left on Mount Airy Drive, cutting in front of a school bus carrying as many as 30 children, police said.

Police arrested Forosisky after his orange Yamaha ran off the road into a field. Officers said Kelly drove his yellow Suzuki into a private driveway, took off his helmet and coat, and fled on foot.

Officers said they found him walking along Elton Road.

Both men face a felony charge of fleeing and eluding police and multiple summary charges that include driving without a valid license.

Kelly, of Summerhill, and Forosisky,

of Richland, were arraigned by on-call District Judge Mary Ann Zanghi of Vinco and sent to the Cambria County Prison after each failed to pay 10 percent of $5,000 bond.
