2 wanted in robbery face more charges

Drug suspect arrested along with women

JOHNSTOWN — More charges were filed Wednesday after city police apprehended two Johnstown women accused of participating in a home invasion robbery in the West End.

Police, who had been searching for the pair, said they found Stephanie Ann Huff, 23, and Meagan Rose McKenzie, 19, at a home on Park Avenue in the city’s Moxham section.

Police said that a man with a gun, Huff and McKenzie had kicked in the door of a Laurel Avenue apartment and robbed the occupants of four cellphones and $4,000 cash on Saturday.

Arrest warrants were issued Tuesday charging the women with robbery.

Police are still looking for the male suspect.

In additional criminal complaints filed Wednesday, police said they found Huff and McKenzie at a Park Avenue residence, along with drugs and an 8-month-old baby in a walker. Officers seized marijuana, 10 bongs and two scales at the home.

Huff and McKenzie were charged with child endangerment, disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia. McKenzie has addresses at Oakhurst Homes and Woodvale Avenue. Huff has addresses on McMillen Street and Oak Street

A third person in the home – Seth Ferg, 19, of the 700 block of Park Avenue – had a bag of pot in his pocket, police said. He was charged with drug possession, disorderly conduct and child endangerment.

The three were arraigned by on-call District Judge John Barron of Stonycreek Township.

They were sent to the Cambria County Prison after each failed to post 10 percent of $10,000 band.
