Suspected drug dealers arrested downtown

JOHNSTOWN — Two Johnstown men wanted on drug charges were arrested Thursday in front of The Tribune-Democrat building on Locust Street, authorities said.

Members of the Cambria County Drug Task Force found the pair inside a vehicle parked along the street.

Keith Adams, 43, of the 100 block of Coal Street, and Kirtshawn Curry, 36, of Cooper Avenue, were expected to be arraigned Thursday night.

Both are described as mid-level drug dealers, said Detective Kevin Price, head of the drug task force.

Adams allegedly sold or conspired to sell crack cocaine to undercover drug agents in December and February.

Curry allegedly sold or conspired to sell crack cocaine to undercover drug agents in November and February.

Both men, who have criminal drug histories, are charged with possession of a controlled substance. More drug charges are pending, Price said.

They also are charged with criminal use of communication facility because they allegedly used cellphones to set up drug deals.
