Army Aviation honors Critz

— U.S. Rep. Mark S. Critz, D-Johnstown, has been inducted into The Knight of the Honorable Order of St. Michael by the Army Aviation Association of America Inc.

Critz received the honor for promoting and supporting the Army Aviation community.

In December 2011, Critz and Rep. Mo Brooks of Alaska formed the bipartisan Congressional Army Aviation Caucus to provide a forum among members of Congress, staff and the Army to discuss and advance policies that support Army Aviation.

Established in 1957, the Army Aviation Association of America has served as the professional cohesive force that has held the Army Aviation community together, creating a forum for aviators to exchange ideas and share experiences. It has more than 66 chapters and 14,700 members worldwide.

The Order of St. Michael recognizes individuals who have contributed significantly to the promotion of Army Aviation in ways that stand out in the eyes of the recipient’s seniors, subordinates and peers.
