Internships available with congressman

— U.S. Rep. Keith Rothfus, R-Sewickley, is looking for undergraduate students, graduate students and recent graduates from the 12th Congressional District to apply for internships in his offices in Washington, D.C.; Johns­town; Beaver; and Ross Township, Allegheny County.

Students are asked to submit a completed application, resume, cover letter and a brief writing sample (no longer than five pages) to the office where they would like to intern. Students may also email completed applications to

Internships are offered during the spring, summer and fall semesters. Hours can be flexible to accommodate student course schedules, but generally run from 8:30 a.m. until 6 p.m.

Internships are unpaid but academic credit may be available.

The deadline for a spring internship in the Washington office is Oct. 28.

Applications for internships in the Beaver, Johnstown and Ross Township offices will be accepted and considered on a rolling basis.
