U.S. Rep. Keith Rothfus, R-Sewickley, is looking for undergraduate students, graduate students and recent graduates from the 12th Congressional District to apply for internships in his offices in Washington, D.C.; Johnstown; Beaver; and Ross Township, Allegheny County.
Students are asked to submit a completed application, resume, cover letter and a brief writing sample (no longer than five pages) to the office where they would like to intern. Students may also email completed applications to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The internship application form is available at https://Rothfus.house.gov.
Internships are offered during the spring, summer and fall semesters. Hours can be flexible to accommodate student course schedules, but generally run from 8:30 a.m. until 6 p.m.
Internships are unpaid but academic credit may be available.
The deadline for a spring internship in the Washington office is Oct. 28.
Applications for internships in the Beaver, Johnstown and Ross Township offices will be accepted and considered on a rolling basis.
