JOHNSTOWN — About 270 members of the 104th Attack Reconnaissance Regiment based at the John Murtha Johnstown-Cambria County Airport are serving with the 104th unit based at Fort Indiantown Gap.

Lynette Shuster of Richland Township, whose husband, Sgt. Joshua Shuster, is serving with the Johnstown unit in Afghanistan, said on the Johnstown regiment’s support group Facebook page that her thoughts and prayers go out to the families and friends of the soldiers who were killed.

“Words cannot soothe the pain so many must be feeling or the fear that the rest of our unit must be experiencing,” she wrote.

“My thoughts are with the families who are grieving and all those who are serving over there today.”
