Music and merriment will distill in the hills.
“Stills in the Hills Appalachian Jamboree” will be held June 15-16 at Seven Springs Mountain Resort, 777 Water Wheel Drive, Champion.
The weekend will feature more than 20 live acts, including Grammy Award-winning artist Sam Bush and Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band.
Entertainment June 15 on the main stage will feature Joe Purdy from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Brown Bird from 2 to 3:30, Bucky Covington from 4 to 5:30 and Bush from 6 to 7:30.
Entertainment on the local legends stage June 15 will feature Broke, Stranded and Ugly from 11 a.m to noon, Meredith Holliday from 12:30 to 1:30, National Pike Pickers from 2 to 3, Corn Liquor Saints String Band from 3:30 to 4:30 and Gypsy and His Band of Ghosts from 5 to 6.
Musical acts June 16 on the main stage will feature Larry Keel and Natural Bridge from noon to 1:30, The Last Bison from 2 to 3:30, Rising Appalachia from 4 to 5:30 and Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band from 6 to 7:30.
Musical acts on the local legends stage June 16 will feature Aaron “the Uke Slinger” Jones from 11 a.m to noon, Allegheny Rhythm Rangers from 12:30 to 1:30, Exports from 2 to 3, Broken Fences from 3:30 to 4:30 and City Dwelling Nature Seekers from 5 to 6.
Between sets there will be small batch tastings and presentations by the country’s finest distillers, including western Pennsylvania’s own Boyd & Blair.
Admission to the tasting is included for ticket holders age 21 and older with proper identification.
Those who attend the weekend will have the opportunity to learn about sustainability, green living and mountain culture through live presentations and demonstrations such as ukulele building.
The Green Marketplace will present local green and organic handcrafted gifts and collectibles.
The Little Buckaroo’s Backstage Experience will provide children with a place to jam to their own music and participate in recycled art projects.
There will be a fireworks show the night of June 15.
