Conservation efforts to be recognized at annual banquet

EBENSBURG — The Cambria County Conservation District will hold its annual awards banquet May 15 at the Carrolltown Firemen’s Banquet Hall.

The event will begin at 6 p.m. and is open to the public, according to a release from the conservation district.

Cost is $15 for adults and $10 for children.

Reservations, which are due by May 8, can be made by calling the Ebensburg-based office at 472-2120 or online at

The banquet will honor individuals, organizations and businesses who are implementing extraordinary conservation efforts or are educating others as to the importance of conservation.

Special conservation awards will be announced along with farm service and poster awards.

Additionally, Cambria County’s winning Environthon teams will be honored during the evening.
