IN BRIEF | New Jersey fugitive caught in Somerset

— A New Jersey fugitive wanted on child sex charges was found Saturday in Somerset County, authorities said.

State police in Somerset and the U.S Marshals Service apprehended James Wade Barclay, 48.

Barclay is wanted by New Jersey State Police after he failed to appear for sentencing. He had pleaded guilty in Burlington County to aggravated sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child.

Barclay was on New Jersey’s 12 Most Wanted list.

He is being held in the Somerset County Jail.

Man accused of not delivering shirts

A Venango County man was charged Saturday with theft by deception after authorities said he failed to deliver T-shirts to a woman in Friedens.

State police in Somerset said the woman paid Scott Edward Buechner, 26, of Franklin, $491.75 for 53 T-shirts but never received them.

Library hosting Easter egg hunt

An Easter egg hunt and storytime for children ages 5 and older will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the children’s department at Cambria County Library, 248 Main St., downtown Johnstown.

Participants will enjoy a special storytime, craft and refreshments provided by the West End Lions Club.

They will then hunt throughout all three floors of the library for goody-filled eggs.
