A Nanty Glo man will appear in Cambria County court, accused of sexually exploiting a child after filming a child and a dog.
Christopher Sones, 39, of the 1500 block of Lower Christoff Street, waived his right to a preliminary hearing Monday before District Judge Mary Ann Zanghi of Vinco.
According to a criminal complaint, Nanty Glo police allege that Sones on April 20 filmed a boy in a sexually explicit act with a dog. The video, shot at the man’s home, reportedly showed the minor playing with the dog’s genitalia, police said.
Sones also is accused of posting the video on YouTube. The video has since been removed from the popular Internet site, Public Defender Brett Smith said.
Police and a representative from the county’s Children and Youth Services viewed the video before charges were filed, according to the complaint.
Sones also is charged with sexual abuse of children and endangering the welfare of children.
He was freed on $5,000 unsecured bond and ordered to stay away from the child and his father.
