— Pair sought in theft of electrical motors

BOSWELL – State police in Somerset have issued warrants for two northern Somerset County men accused of swiping electrical motors from a Boswell storage yard.

Joshua A Snyder, 28, of Boswell, and Brock Blair, 24, of Stoystown, face theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property charges, accused of taking the motors from North Star Equipment on Thursday, police said.

Anyone with information may call police at 445-4104.

Fracking program slated for St. Vincent

“Fracking and Your Health: Public Health Perspectives” will be presented at 7 p.m. March 19 at the Fred M. Rogers Center on the campus of St. Vincent College, Latrobe.

Speakers will address impacts of fracking and how citizens can protect themselves by limiting the pathways of exposure associated with shale gas extraction.

The program is being hosted by the college’s Environmental Awareness Club and sponsored by the Mountain Watershed Association and Westmoreland Marcellus Citizens Group.

Admission is free and no preregistration is required.
