Police: Woman stole from dead friend

JOHNSTOWN — A Johnstown woman was ar­raigned Tuesday on charges of theft and fraud after police said she repeatedly used a credit card belonging to a woman who had been dead for more than a year and a half.

West Hills Regional Police filed the charges against Gail Marie Hoover, 64, of the 200 block of Derby Street.

Hoover was charged with 99 counts of theft and access device fraud after allegedly making transactions totaling $9,614.
