Four Cambria County polling places changed

EBENSBURG — Voters in four Cambria County precincts will cast their ballots at new locations in the Nov. 5 general election.

Impacted will be voters in all or parts of Cresson Borough and Elder, Portage and Susquehanna townships.

The changes, announced by Shirley Crowl, Cambria County director of elections are being implemented to make voting easier for the citizens.

“We had a need to change some of them. We just tried to find better locations,” she said.

The old and new polling places:

• Cresson Township: St. Francis Xavier Church, 211 Powell Ave., moved to Cresson Volunteer Fire Company building, Ashcroft Avenue.

• Elder Township: Municipal building in St. Boniface moved to the Haida Professional Building, 264 Haida Ave., Hastings Suite E1. Room at far end of building.

• Portage Township Southwest: Wesleyan Holiness Academy, 115 Poorman Drive, Portage, moved to Maple Winds Care Center, 4112 Spring Hill Road, Portage, rear entrance.

• Susquehanna Township North: The United Methodist Church, 123 Laura St., Emeigh, to Pleasant Hill Church of God’s recreation hall, 103 Lewis Road.
