Elf on the clock

— Linda Bobkoskie of Johnstown has had an elf on her clock for the past 46 years of her marriage. “He appears on the clock the first Sunday of Advent and leaves when all the Christmas decorations are put away,” Bobkoskie said. “Neither my husband nor I can remember where he came from, only that we have always had him. He has watched our three daughters as they grew up and when they visit, he watches our eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.”

The Tribune-Democrat will publish photographs and stories of favorite decorations submitted by readers. The decorations will be featured on the front page.

To participate, send your photos and information to decorations at or mail to The Tribune-Democrat, P.O. Box 340, Johnstown, Pa. 15907.
