Police: Man suspected of 21 area burglaries

JENNERSTOWN — A man seen on surveillance video in a recent burglary may be responsible for breaking into 20 other businesses since July, state police said.

The new video released by troopers from Somerset shows the masked, hooded suspect in Somerset Board and Ski Shop.

Troopers believe the same man also broke into Rustic Mountain Pizza, another business on Glades Pike in Jefferson Township, early Saturday.

Troopers previously released other images and now say they believe the man has broken into 19 other businesses along Route 30, mostly in the Jennerstown area.

Police said the suspect’s right foot turns in and he walks with a pronounced limp.

He also targeted automatic teller machines, restaurants, markets and larger businesses, including an iron and steel company, police said.
