Teams needed for Light the Night Walk

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is seeking teams for its 14th annual Light the Night Walk.

The event will be held Oct. 5 on the Pitt-Johnstown campus in Richland Township.

Pre-walk food, entertainment and children’s activities will begin at 5 p.m. behind Blackington Hall, and the walk will start at 7.

The 2-mile noncompetitive walk is being sponsored by the Johnstown Tomahawks. Team president Richard Bouchard and general manager Rick Boyd will serve as walk co-chairmen.

The event will raise funds for the society’s mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma and to improve the quality of life for patients and their families
