Patton teen faces charges

PATTON — A Patton teenager was jailed after authorities said he sexually assaulted a 16-year-old girl.

Northern Cambria Borough Police charged Jeremy Thomas Sharp, 19, of the 700 block of 5th Avenue, with statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault and corruption of minors.

In a court document, police said they received a complaint from the girl’s mother on

Sept. 21 saying the girl was six months pregnant and Sharp was believed to be the father.

The girl was 15 at the time, police said.

Sharp allegedly assaulted the girl multiple times inside his apartment, police said.

Sharp was arraigned Monday by on-call District Judge Michael Zungali and sent to the Cambria County Prison on $20,000 percentage bond.
