“This was a moving Nativity scene made by my father, James Schellhammer, about 50 years ago,” wrote Ardie Brunetto of Johnstown. “It was a surprise for us. We didn’t see it until Christmas morning. It took the whole width of our sunroom. That’s how big it was. The wise men moved on a track to the stable and turned around and went back to the field. Camels went around the outside edge. The star and the angel on the stable went up and down on a pulley. We had people from everywhere coming to the house to see it. We treasured it and were brokenhearted when we learned it had been destroyed by renters at the house after my father had passed away.”
