Earring tree

NEW FLORENCE — “Several years ago we received a beautiful, one-of-a-kind, framed wall hanging of a Christmas tree made from earrings,” wrote Barbara Keeler of New Florence. “It was made by Aunt Margaret, who asked relatives and friends for one earring from a pair and created the tree. Only one duplicate appears on the tree. The base is a jeweled piece and a lovely lapel pin is in the upper corner. The tree is shaped perfectly and had to take many hours to create.”

Throughout the month of December, The Tribune-Democrat will be running photos and stories of favorite decorations as submitted by our readers.

The decorations will be featured on our front page. Those not published will appear on our website.

To participate, send your photos and information to Arlene Johns at ajohns@trib or mail to The Tribune-Democrat, P.O. Box 340, Johnstown, PA 15907.
