Former Rocket picked by PSAC

Joanna Nist, a former Rockwood standout, was selected as a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference volleyball athlete of the week.

Nist helped lead California (Pa.) to a 4-0 record at the Shark Classic against teams that were either nationally ranked or receiving votes in the Top 25 poll. She tied for the team lead with 3.06 kills per game, added a team-high nine aces and finished second on the team with 2.65 digs per game. Nist, a junior outside hitter, posted three kill/dig double-doubles, including a 16-kill, 17-dig performance against No. 24 Nova Southeastern.
