Renegades win in five innings

Zach Detillio allowed two runs in a five-inning game for Berkley Hills Friday at Point Stadium in a 12-2 AAABA League victory over First Commonwealth Bank.

Berkley Hills’ Rick Jones went 3-for-4 with one RBIā€ˆand two runs scored. John Jones had two hits, two RBI and scored three runs.

Jack Hauerich caught the game and had a pair of hits and RBI. Dylan Brooks had one hit, scored three runs and stole a base.

Joe Hrbal and Zach Varga each had two hits for First Commonwealth.

Laurel Auto nips Renegades

Ryan Bills tossed a complete game, scattering seven hits while striking out four and walking one in Laurel Auto Group’s 4-3 win over Berkely Hills Renegades in Thursday’s late game at the Point.

Laurel Auto’s Gordan Barr had two hits, including a run-scoring single that plated the eventual game-winner in the third.

Berkley Hills’ Matt Kastelic had two hits and drove in a run. Dan Gray had two hits and two RBI.

Harrison up, Sanchez down

PITTSBURGH – The Pittsburgh Pirates recalled infielder/outfielder Josh Harrison from Indianapolis on Friday and sent catcher Tony Sanchez to the Triple-A club.

Harrison hit .316 with four home runs and 33 RBI in 60 games with Indianapolis. In 11 games in two stints with the Pirates this season, he went 2-for-11 with one RBI.

Sanchez made his major league debut Sunday and went 2-for-8 with a double in two games.
