CORY ISENBERG | Three schools from area remain in football

Volleyball victors: Eastern schools swept all three state volleyball finals on Saturday.

In Class A Marian Catholic downed Cochranton in straight sets 25-16, 25-23, 25-17.

Both the Class AA and AAA finals were in five sets.

In Class AA, Delone Catholic held off Fort LeBoeuf 25-14, 15-25, 26-24, 18-25, 15-9.

The Class AAA championship was a rematch of the District 3 title game won by Cumberland Valley. This time Hempfield won, defeating the Eagles 25-15, 23-25, 25-21, 25-27, 15-12.
