Conemaugh Township shuts out Windber in boys soccer

WINDBER — The Conemaugh Township boys’ soccer team got two goals from Ben Wilson and rolled to a 3-0 shutout over Windber on Monday afternoon.

The contest was a rematch of last year’s District 5-A title game won by the Ramblers.

“With it being a rematch of last year’s final, we knew it was going to be a physical game,” Township coach Chris Miller said. “We scored first and that set them back on their heels. Our team did a good job on both offense and defense. On defense, they pushed the ball up front.”

Noah Livella scored the other Indians’ goal and Jeff Callihan had the shutout.

Conemaugh Township improved to 3-1. It was the first loss for the Ramblers, who fell to 2-1.
