Delweld rolls past Laurel Auto Group

JOHNSTOWN — Josh Staniscia was 3-for-4 with a double as Delweld downed Laurel Auto Group, 7-1, in the early AAABA League game on Wednesday at Point Stadium.

Marcus Shippey and Luke Campbell each had a double, with Campbell driving in a run for Delweld.

Zach Zimmerman, Gordon Barr, Zac Heide and Derrick Zavatsky had two hits apiece for Laurel.

Zimmerman scored the run and Mike Nowicki hit a double for Laurel.

Berkley Hills Renegades 11, First Commonwealth 1: At Roxbury Park, Berkley Hills hit three home runs, including a grand slam by John Jones, in a six-inning win over First Commonwealth.

Rick Jones and Brett Marabito also had solo shots for the Renegades.

Rick Jones finished 3-for-3 with four RBI and two runs scored.

Zaine Tomkowski was 2-for-2 and scored a run for First Commonwealth.

Berkley Hills Renegades 10, First Commonwealth 7: At the Point, Berkley Hills scored five runs in the sixth inning on its way to a victory over First Commonwealth in Tuesday’s late game.

Jake Pribanic was 3-for-4 and drove in four runs while A.J. Rievel was 2-for-2 with a triple and a run scored for the Renegades, who also got a 3-for-3 outing with two runs scored from Dylin Brooks.

Zack Varga was 2-for-3 and scored twice while Logan Bodenschatz was 2-for-3 with a run batted in.
