Unusual tree topper

CRESSON — “On the top of my parents’ Christmas tree, you will find a one-of-a-kind tree topper,” wrote Colleen Stiles of Cresson. “It's a monkey! My father, Lester Hoover Sr., received this monkey as a gift from Santa in 1930, when he was 6 years old. The following Christmas, the monkey found his way to the top of his tree and he has been there every year since. What a great topic of conversation this has been for my dad among family and friends over the past 82 years.”
