Neighborhood watch resumes speakers

JOHNSTOWN — Following a winter hiatus, the Moxham Neighborhood Watch plans to restart its speaker presentation series on Thursday.

Johnstown Police Department Detective Julie Wagner is scheduled to discuss Internet and social media crimes, along with other issues affecting children. The event is set to take place at St. Patrick Catholic Church’s school cafeteria, located on Park Avenue, beginning at 6 p.m.

“I’m sure it’s going to be a really good presentation,” said Theresa Subich, co-chairwoman of the organization.

The neighborhood watch plans to hold similar presentations in the future.

“We’re hoping to get a sense of what people are interested in hearing,” Subich said.
