JOHNSTOWN — BLANK – Dorothy E., 84, Arbutus Park Retirement Community, went to be with her Lord Dec. 18, 2013, following a brief illness. Born Sept. 17, 1929, in Pitcairn, daughter of Clair and Minola (Brown) Baker. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Rev. Robert Blank; brothers, Jack, Craig, Robert and William; and sister, Kathleen Smith. Survived by children, Dennis, Charlottesville, Va.; Dawna, married to Larry Johnson, Altavista, Va.; and Rev. Daniel, married to Kim (Long), Marietta, Pa. Also survived by grandchildren, Dennis Mark Blank, Pittsburgh; Chris Blank, married to Theresa, Pittsburgh; and Jonathon Blank, married to Erica, Portsmouth, Va.; and great-grandchildren, Cole, Bradyn and Tristan Blank. Also survived by 26 nieces and nephews. Member of Bethel United Methodist Church, Hollsopple, where she served many years in church activities and was an active volunteer at Arbutus Park Retirement Community. She loved her Lord, family and friends and will be greatly missed. Dorothy was a devoted pastor’s wife, mother and grandmother who loved people, entertaining and giving to others. Family receiving friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at George E. Mason Funeral Home Inc., Davidsville, and from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. Monday at Bethel United Methodist Church, Hollsopple, Pastors Keith Dunn and David Bowman, officiating. Interment, Custer Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of the Doerr Wing at Arbutus Park Manor and the staff of AseraCare Hospice for their loving care and compassion.
