WINDBER — NEGREY – Bernard W. “Bernie,” 72, Windber, passed away Jan. 2, 2014, in Carlisle. Born March 28, 1941, in Windber, son of John and Anna (Pollock) Negrey. Preceded in death by parents; wife, Juliane “Judy” (Verostick) Negrey; and brother, Thomas P. Negrey. Survived by children, Wendy, wife of Dave Weaver, Carlisle; Thomas, and wife, Stephanie (Bubenko), Windber; Holly, wife of James Decker, Carlisle; and Kelley, wife of Paul Decker, Carlisle; grandsons, Brady and Logan Weaver and Daniel and Nicolas Decker; and granddaughters, Haylee Weaver and Bethany and Bailee Decker. Brother of Therese Negrey, Windber; John “Jack” Negrey, Nevada; and James Negrey, and wife, Donna, Nevada. Also survived by several nieces and nephews and very good friend, Rose Harvest, Windber. Graduate of Windber High School and Penn State University, with a degree in engineering-drafting. Former employee of H.F. Lenz Co., Johnstown, and also former drafting-CAD instructor at Greater Johnstown Vo-Tech School. Member of BPO Elks, Carlisle; Windber Polish Falcons; and Windber Slovak Club. Bernie was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler, Pens and Penn State fan. Member of SS. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church, Windber, where funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, the Rev. George M. Gulash. Committal, St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery, Carlisle.  Friends received from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at William Kisiel Funeral Home, Windber, where vigil for the deceased will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in Bernie’s memory.
