PATTON — ZUPON – Thomas M. “Zoupie,” 66, Patton, passed away Jan. 12, 2014, at his home. Born Feb. 27, 1947, in Spangler, son of Michael and Victoria “Rita” (Vescovi) Zupon. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by many aunts and uncles. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Sondra “Deb” (Reynolds) Zupon, whom he married Feb. 8, 1975; and sister, Diane (Jim) Kucera, Johnstown. He was a graduate of Bishop Carroll High School and was employed by Northern Cambria Fuel and L. Robert Kimball Engineering and retired as a cook from Hiram G. Andrews Rehabilitation Center after 22 years of service. Member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Patton; and Patton, Cambria County, Central District and State Firemen’s Associations. He enjoyed fishing; traveling with his soul mate, Deb; hunting; and golfing. He loved all sports, especially his Pittsburgh Panthers and Chicago Cubs. Go Pitt! Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, at Stevens Funeral Home Inc., 1004 N. Fifth Ave., Patton, Pa. 16668, where vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Patton, by Benedictine Fathers. Committal, St. Mary’s Cemetery.
