Helen Adams

NANTY GLO — ADAMS – Helen, 94, Nanty Glo, went to be with the Lord Nov. 18, 2013, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Dec. 2, 1918, in Madera, daughter of the late Adolph and Ida (Palmquist) Fager. Preceded in death by husband, Russell Adams; son, Ronald Adams; brother, Roger Fager; and nephew, Alan Fager. Survived  by sister-in-law, Dolores Fager; niece, Sharon (Jack) Flick; great-nieces and nephews, Heather (Pat) Murphy; Devan and Alexis Murphy; John Flick Jr.; Marissa and John Flick III; Ryan (Amber) Flick; Priscilla, Katelyn and Sofia Flick; Donna Hogue; David, Melissa and Jason Hogue; Patty Keppler; Eileen (Bob) Orner; and Eric Orner; and special friend, Barbara Jackens. Member of Nanty Glo United Methodist Church. Retired beautician from former Prave’s Beauty Shop, Ebensburg, with 50 years of service. Longtime volunteer at the Johnstown Senior Center. Helen enjoyed reading and always had a smile for everyone. There will be no viewing, however, a gathering of family and friends will be held from 12:30 p.m. until time of memorial service at 1 p.m. Thursday at Nanty Glo United Methodist Church, the Rev. John Hickman, officiating. Interment, Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Helen’s memory may be made to Nanty Glo United Methodist Church.
