Donald Lokesak

JOHNSTOWN — LOKESAK – Donald, 77, Brownstown, died Aug. 17, 2010, peacefully at home surrounded by his family, after a long, hard battle with cancer. Born July 3, 1933, in Johnstown, son of the late Charles and Eileen (Darney) Lokesak. Survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Arlene (Zimmer) Lokesak; son, Marc, married to the former Sherry Eckenrode, Ashville; daughter, Carol (Lokesak), wife of John Zelenski, Johnstown; grandchildren, Brandon Lokesak, married to Heather (Simendinger); Dylan and Mackenzie Zelenski; and Elissa and Brooke Budicky; great-granddaughter, Kaylee Holmburg; and brother, Charles Lokesak. Donald was retired from the car shop at Bethlehem Steel Corp. and a veteran of the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy Reserves. Member of Brownstown Volunteer Fire Company, Retired Men’s Club and the former St. Columba Catholic Church. Donald was very proud of his Cambria City roots and his Irish Heritage. He was a wonderful husband, father and “little grandpap” that will be missed by all. He also will be remembered for the dogs that he would walk through his neighborhood, Kelo, Pugsley and Brutus, and his companion and friend, Moo Shu. Friends received from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., Broad Street, where memorial service will begin at 7:30 p.m. Father Francis Balestino, officiating. Private interment. In lieu of flowers, donations should be directed to Windber Hospice, 600 Somerset Ave., Windber, Pa. 15963, in memory of Donald. (
