ROBINSON — NIXON – Karen “Suzie,” 62, Robinson, passed away Jan. 1, 2014. Born March 29, 1951, in West Bolivar, daughter of the late Joseph Silk and Betty (Garland) Silk Ferri.  Also preceded in death by stepfather, Joseph Ferri; grandfather, Levi Silk; and numerous other family members.  Survived by husband of 33 years, Richard A. Nixon Jr.; children, Dewayne “Bud” Donahue, and special friend, Karol, West Bolivar; Peggy Rager, Seward; Andrew Nixon, and wife, Mandy, Westerville, Ohio; and Joseph Nixon, and wife, Kim, Houtzdale; grandsons, Ryan Scott Donahue, and special friend, Lacey; Jordan Michael James, and special friend, Paige; Brandon Austin James, and special friend, Marissa; Joseph Dallas Nixon; Kyle Matthew Nixon; and “Mam sure loved her babies”; aunt, Hope Garland; and numerous extended family. Member of Faith Lutheran Church, where she was active with the fish fry committee.  Retired head cook at United Elementary School, where she was past president of PSEA support staff. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and camping.  Visitation and service was held at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, New Florence, the Rev. Paul Poersche, officiating. Interment, Germany Lutheran Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Conemaugh Regional Hospice, 315 Locust St., Suite 5E, Johnstown, Pa. 15901, or the American Cancer Society, 1165 Philadelphia St., Indiana, Pa. 15701.  Online condolences may be left at
