Ramona T. Bortman

SEWICKLEY, PA. — BORTMAN – Ramona T., 85, Sewickley, Pa., formerly of Patton, passed away Jan. 3, 2014, at home surrounded by her family. Born July 24, 1928, in Hastings, daughter of Raymond and Ada (Stoltz) Yahner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Patrick D. Bortman; brother, Mitchell Yahner; sister, Cecelia Murphy; and sister, in infancy, Camilla Yahner. Ramona is survived by sister, Emily Petrunyak; children, William Bortman, Butler, Pa.; Patricia Vezza, and son-in-law, Dominic Vezza, Sewickley, Pa.; daughter, Amy Bortman and Julie Willoughby, Lawrenceville, Ga.; grandchildren, Heath Vezza, Angel Vezza Hayes, Rochele Vezza Etzi, Tessie Vezza Irby and Kara Vezza Graham;  12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; also numerous nieces and nephews. She was employed for 38 years at Phillips ECG in Altoona. Member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Patton; VFW ladies auxiliary; and was a Democratic Committee member. She enjoyed baking and spending time with family and friends. Friends will be received from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 10, at Stevens Funeral Home Inc., 1004 N. Main St., Patton, Pa. 16668, where vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Patton, by Benedictine Fathers.
