Anthony Chambers

PORTAGE — CHAMBERS – Anthony “Tony,” 65, Portage, passed away Oct. 23, 2012, at Shands Medical Center, Gainesville, Fla. Born May 5, 1947, in Johnstown, son of Raymond and Esther (Bastine) Chambers. Preceded in death by parents, and grandchildren, Dylan and Hunter. Survived by loving wife, Janet (Shawley) Chambers, Portage; children, Garry, Ray, Darryl, Colette, Vernon, Glenda, Christi and Dione, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Brother of Darlene Plummer, Florida. Retired truck driver for Starprint. Member of AMVETS, VFW and Portage Italian Club. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and walking. Friends received from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Serenko-Claar Funeral Home, PC, Portage, where funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Pastor Don Jeffers, officiating.   Committal, Dunmyer Lutheran Cemetery, Salix.
