GALLITZIN — LUPINETTI – Valia M. “Val,” 82, Gallitzin, died June 10, 2013, at Golden Living Center-Hillview, Altoona. Born Dec. 12, 1930, in Gallitzin, daughter of the late Pasquale and Vincenza (Impullitti) Lupinetti. Preceded in death by brothers, Richard; James, and wife, Eleanor; and Anthony; and a niece, Melissa Lupinetti. Survived by brother, Ronald (Esther), Gallitzin; sisters-in-law, Susanne Lupinetti, Harrisburg, and Maria Lupinetti, Atco, N.J.; niece and nephews, Andrea (Victor) Regan, Strongsville, Ohio; Dr. Anthony (Diane) Lupinetti, York; Dr. Thomas (Elena) Lupinetti, Harrisburg; and Mark (Barbara) Lupinetti, Atco, N.J.; great-nieces and nephews, Nicholas, Giana, Jamie, Christie, Mark, Kelsey, Gabriella, Leno and Michelina Lupinetti and Alec and Anthony Regan; great-great-niece, Oliva Umosella; and special friend and caretaker, Louise Jasper and Aubree. A 1948 graduate of Gallitzin High School, recently celebrating her 65th reunion with her classmates. Worked at Puritan Sportswear and retired from SKF Industries. She worked for many years as a foster grandparent at Gallitzin Head Start. Val enjoyed reading, spending time with her nieces and nephews, attending plays, knitting and playing bingo. Member of the Moose auxiliary, Legion of Mary, LCBA and attended many Novenas with the Carmelite Sisters, Loretto. Member of St. Demetrius Catholic Church, Gallitzin, where funeral Mass will be concelebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, the Rev. Albert Ledoux and Monsignor Bernard Przybocki, celebrants. Committal, St. Patrick Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Gibbons Funeral Home, 301 Church St., Gallitzin, where a vigil service will be held Friday.
