He enlisted into the Army in 1942 and was a World War II veteran. He served as technician 5th Grade Company D. 333rd Regiment with an honorable discharge. Owner of Ralph P. He loved a good poker game and pinochle. Member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Johnstown. Sincere thanks and appreciation to Pastor Brian Armen and our Trinity family. May God bless all of the dedicated staff at Church of the Brethren Home who gave their devoted time to care for him. We are thankful to have met so many special friends there who touched his heart. Kindness extended to his roommate Ronald Weaver. Special thanks to the endless care he received by Dr. Malkhey of Gray Medical Association and Windber Hospice. There will be no viewing at his request and service will be private for the family. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 600 Ash St., Johnstown, Pa. or American Heart Foundation.
