Catherine M. (Duca) Meden

BEAVERDALE — MEDEN – Catherine M. “Kate” (Duca), 86, Beaverdale, entered into new life Oct. 2, 2012, at St. Francis Hospital, Indianapolis, Ind. Born July 11, 1926, in Beaverdale, daughter of Peter and Barbara (Bertino) Duca. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Frank; brothers, Frank “Chipper,” Nicholas and Tony; and sister, Nancy Pastor. Survived by children, Alan (Darlene), Pittsburgh; Regina (B. James) Mehallick, Indianapolis, Ind.; and Brian (Jeanne), Charleston, S.C.; and grandchildren, Alina, Lia, Falco, Lizzie and Elliot Meden. Sister of  Jay, Cleveland; Angeline Ferrato, Cleveland; Mary Hudak, College Park, Md.; and Maude Rice, Charleston, S.C. Kate worked as a clerk for the U.S. Postal Service, and was a member of the American Legion auxiliary. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Jean H. Kinley Funeral Home, Beaverdale, where wake service will be held at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Michael Catholic Church, Father Charles Bodziak, celebrant.
