Kenneth E. Kauffman

JOHNSTOWN — KAUFFMAN – Kenneth E., 79, Johnstown, died Sept. 6, 2013, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Sept. 9, 1933, in Johns- town, son of the late Chester and Effie (Smith) Kauffman. Preceded in death by his sister, Catherine Carrico, and brothers-

in-law, George Carrico and Robert Dickert. Survived by his former wife and friend, Deanna Kauffman, Johnstown; son, Daniel Kauffman, and wife, Marcie, Park Hill; daughter, Jill Kocsis, and husband, Eric, Johnstown; and grandchildren, Zackary Kauffman, Katrina Kauffman, Lucas Kauffman, Tyler Kocsis and Jordan Kocsis. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and sports fan. He was the former scorekeeper for the Johnstown Chiefs. He retired from Penelec and had previously worked for the City of Johnstown. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at John Henderson Co. Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave., where funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Pastor Custead officiating. Interment, Richland Cemetery. Military honors will be accorded at the cemetery by members of Charles Menoher Post 155 VFW Ritual Team.
