John S. DiFalco

JOHNSTOWN — DiFALCO– John S., 94, formerly of  Johnstown, died Jan. 24, 2013, at the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home. Born Oct. 15, 1918, in Johnstown, son of  Vito and Mary (Giglio) DiFalco. Preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Christie, Joseph and Samuel DiFalco; and sisters, Rose DiFalco, Sandra Bovino and Rose Biasella. Survived by brother, Peter DiFalco, married to Zina, North Carolina; sister, Jenny Snyder, New York; nephew, Charles DiFalco, Johnstown; and several nieces, nephews, great- nieces, great-nephews, great- great-nieces and great-great- nephews.     John served in World War  II in the U.S. Army and received a Purple Heart, two Bronze Stars and a Victory Medal. Friends received from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, at Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Clare of Assisi Church, Father Matthew Misurda.  Interment, St. Anthony Cemetery, Geistown.
