SIDMAN — LADIKA – James F., 73, Sidman, went to be with the Lord Feb. 11, 2013. Born April 16, 1939, in Windber, son of the late Peter and Anna (Stupic) Ladika. Survived by wife of 47 years, Helen (Kentula) Ladika; sons, Anthony Ladika, and wife, Wendy (Varner), Salix; and James Ladika, South Fork; and grandchildren, Travis and Katey. Also survived by sister, Joanne, wife of Ronald Thomas, Sidman; brothers, William Ladika, and wife, Helen (Penna), Geistown; and Richard Ladika, and wife, Janice (Mehora), Sidman; and sister-in-law, Carol, wife of James Moore, Sidman; also several nieces and nephews. A 1957 graduate of Adams-Summerhill High School and a former member of the Army Reserve. Retired employee of Bethlehem Steel, Johnstown, Gautier Division. James was a loving husband, father and grandfather, who loved hunting, fishing, gardening and being in the outdoors. He will be especially missed by his pet dogs and cats. Member of SS. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church, Windber, where funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, the Rev. George M. Gulash. Committal, church cemetery, Windber. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at William Kisiel Funeral Home, Windber, where vigil for the deceased will be held. The family wishes to thank the doctors and staff of Good Samaritan, sixth floor, and also the ICU Unit of Conemaugh Hospital.
