JOHNSTOWN — POSEY – Col. William L. (retired U.S. Army), 78, Johnstown, died June 27, 2013, at Windber Hospice. Born June 6, 1935, in Spokane, Wash. Survived by wife, Verna J. Posey, Johnstown; and daughter, Julia J. Posey, Oregon. His military career consisted of a Bronze Star Medal (First Oak Leaf Cluster), Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Presidential Unit Citation, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (1), Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with Palm, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, Airborne 307 Master Parachute Badge and Legion Merit. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made to Azalea Charities, P.O.
