June (Osborne) Wakefield

EBENSBURG — WAKEFIELD – June (Osborne), 91, Ebensburg, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, at Riderwood Village, Silver Spring, Md. June was the daughter of Howard D. and Anna M. (Kuhlman) Osborne, both deceased. In 2008, June moved to Maryland after the passing of her husband of 71 years, William H. Wakefield Jr. She was the sister of the late Donald Osborne of Colver. Survived by her children, Laurann Wakefield (Thomas) Ramirez, Ginny Wakefield and Jim (Lori) Wakefield. She adored her grandchildren, Michael (Karen) Wakefield, Erin (Charles) Walker, Michelle Church and Lauren and Madison Wakefield. Her life was characterized by her outstanding work ethic and dedication to her family and community. June was an active leader in the Ebensburg Theta Rho Girls Club and an active member of First United Methodist Church of Ebensburg. Our hearts go with our beloved wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and friend. Memorial service is planned for 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, at First United Methodist Church of Ebensburg. Local arrangements by Askew- Houser Funeral Homes Inc., Ebensburg.
