GALLITZIN — WIRFEL – Stephen C. “Stevoman,” 23, Gallitzin, died April 9, 2013, at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born May 25, 1989, in Altoona, son of Paul and Stephanie (Slebodnick) Wirfel. Preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Stephen and Regina Slebodnick; and cousin, Brandon Hollen. Survived by father of Gallitzin, mother of Duncansville; sister, Laken (Brian) Riccella, and their daughter, Madison and a niece to be born in June, Ebensburg; brother, Brent, Gallitzin; paternal grandparents, Charles and Constance Wirfel, Ebensburg; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Steveoman enjoyed working out, hunting, fishing, dancing, golfing, riding 4-wheelers and karaoke. Member of Gallitzin Moose, Cresson Italian Club and Summit Fitness Center. Member of St. Demetrius Catholic Church, Gallitzin, where funeral Mass will be concelebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, the Rev. Albert Ledoux and the Rev. Brian Warchola. Committal, St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Gibbons Funeral Home, 301 Church St., Gallitzin, where vigil service will be held Thursday.
