DUNCANNON — HODOS – Joseph J., 82, Duncannon, passed away peacefully Monday, Oct. 14, 2013, at home surrounded by his loving family. Born Aug. 13, 1931, in Johnstown, son of the late Martin Jr. and Elizabeth “Cernak” Hodos. Joe graduated from Ferndale High School in 1949 and retired from Bethlehem Steel in Johnstown. Joe was a Korean War veteran and was proud of his country. He was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan and loved to play golf. Member of Our Lady of Good Council Catholic Church, Marysville; American Legion for 35 years; DAV of Perry County; and Korean Post 1, Band Hall and Croatian Hall in Johnstown. Survived by his wife, Charlene A. Dimm Hodos, Duncannon; stepchildren, Rick and Tracy Dimm, Duncannon; Brian and Tina Dimm, New Bloomfield; and Mike and Jackie Jarrell, Enola. Joe had three stepgrandsons and one stepgranddaughter. Also survived by sister, Betty and Tony Sestrich, Johnstown; brother, Martin Hodos, Hollywood, Fla.; sister, Mary Wallace, Buffalo, N.Y.; sister, Theresa Canary, Johnstown; brother, John and Theresa Hodos, Johnstown; and many nieces and nephews he loved very much. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, at Our Lady of Good Council Catholic Church, 121 Williams St., Marysville, Pa. 17053, with Father John Trigilio Jr. Viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until time of Mass. Burial with full military honors will be at Duncannon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in honor of Joe to Hospice of Central Pennsylvania, 1320 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, Pa. 17110. Arrangements are entrusted to Ronald C.L.
