PATTON — CYMBOR – Charles “Charlie” C., 95, Patton, passed away Dec. 18, 2013, at UPMC Altoona. Born July 17, 1918, in Patton, son of Clement and Catherine (Parkas) Cymbor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Blanche Clifford, Julia Sutherland and Marie Pribahilow; and brothers, Thomas, Ted, Martin, Stanley, John “Silver” and Raymond. Survived by his wife, Isabel (Booterbaugh) Cymbor, whom he married July 31, 1949; son, David (Kathleen) Cymbor, Midlothian, Va.; daughter, Susan (Ted) Farrell, Patton; grandchildren, Charles E. Cymbor and Amanda Farrell; great-grandchildren, Luke and Benjamin Cymbor; and numerous nieces and nephews. Charlie was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was a U.S. Army World War II veteran and retired from Bethlehem Steel. Member of Patton Eagles FOE Aerie 1244, Slovak Club and Sons of Italy. He enjoyed watching sports on TV. Friends received from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, at Stevens Funeral Home Inc., 1004 N. Fifth Ave., Patton, Pa. 16668, where vigil service will be held and where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday by the Rev. Joseph Fleming. Committal, Fairview Cemetery, Patton.
