JOHNSTOWN — ROSEY – Michael H., 92, Johnstown, died Dec. 25, 2013, at LaurelWood Convalescent Care Center. Born Aug. 5, 1921, in Garrett, son of the late Joseph and Zurie (Hutzle) Rosey. Preceded in death by his wife, Mary C. (Kovalchek) Rosey; brothers, Joe, Herbert, Herman, John and Jim; and sisters, Barb, Mary and Verna. Survived by son, Richard Rosey, and wife, Debra (Margiotti), Apollo; daughter, Janet “Cookie” Antesberger, and husband, William Jr., Johnstown; grandchildren, Scott Rosey; Michael Rosey; Kimberly Russell; William Antesberger III; and Corey Antesberger, and wife, Melanie (Lichliter); great-grandchildren, Chelse, Cassie, Kaylee, Zachary, Emileigh and Brianna; sister, Violet Kolson, Windber; and brother, Sam Rosey, Elyria, Ohio. Member of St. John Gualbert Cathedral. Life member of Charles Menoher Post 155 VFW and DAV Chapter 2. Member of Johnstown Retired Men’s Club, UMWA Local 7925, German-Austrian Hall, Dale Firemen’s Club and American Legion. He served as a volunteer at the Flight 93 Chapel. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, having received the Purple Heart. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at John Henderson Co. Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. John Gualbert Cathedral, the Very Rev. James F. Crookston. Committal, St. Joseph’s Cemetery, where military service will be held by the Marine Corps League.
