Boyd Ager Henry

SEWARD — HENRY – Boyd Ager “Mert,” 86, Ravenna, Ohio, formerly of Ebensburg, passed away Monday, June 9, 2014. Born April 10, 1928, in Connellsville, Pa., to parents Elmer and Minnie Henry. Mr. Henry was retired as a truck driver after 30 years of service with CW Transport. Boyd was a World War II veteran in the Army Air Corps, having served in Germany and England, and also was a member of Teamsters Local 407. He enjoyed being around his grandchildren, gardening and fixing things. Boyd very much enjoyed traveling and camping with his family. Survived by his wife of 59 years, Alice (Bokisa) Henry. Surviving also are his children, Mary Ellen Willett, Susan (Ray) Mischka, Michael Henry, Juli (Danny) Holliday, Amy Elliot, Linda Huebner, Ray Henry and Jennie (Michael) Sprague. He also leaves 22 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and brothers, Leo “Pete” Henry, Dwight “Bunny” (Barb) Henry and Ted (Carole) Henry. Also surviving are his sisters-in-laws, Yvonne and Sally; and many loving nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jack, Bob and Billy; sister, Judy; and great-grandson, Cody Wilson. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, and from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 12, at Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, Ohio, officiated by the Rev. Dr. Perry Mattern. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Ohio.
