PORTAGE — SCIPIONE – Louise, 96, Portage, passed away Jan. 17, 2014, at Aria Health Center, Langhorne, Pa. Born Feb. 12, 1917, in Portage, daughter of Ralph and Rose (Bruno) Talarigo. Deceased family members include her parents; husband, Theodore E. Scipione; daughter, Barbara Binduga; grandsons, Michael and David Ranochak; brothers, Samuel, Sylvester, Raymond, James and Joseph Talarigo; and sister, Lucile Smerk. Survived by daughter, Antionette “Toni,” wife of Eugene Ranochak, Levittown; and son, Ronald Scipione, and wife, Kathleen, Chalfont, Pa. She will be sadly missed by her 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren, especially Brooklyn Grace. Louise was an active member of St. Joseph’s Church and was an avid Elvis Presley fan. She enjoyed writing poetry, loved going shopping and liked spending time camping and fishing with her husband, Theodore. Friends received from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Serenko-Claar Funeral Home, PC, Portage. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Father Andrew Draper, celebrant. Committal, St. Bartholomew Cemetery, Wilmore.
