Bernadine L. Bomba

DUNNELLON, FLA. — BOMBA – Bernadine L., 72, Dunnellon, Fla., passed away Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013. Born May 31, 1941, in Johnstown, to the late Bernard L. Urban and Helen (Szostek) Urban. “Bernie” was a homemaker and of the Catholic faith. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed dominoes, crosswords and reading. Preceded by her parents; stepfather, John P. Urban; and brother, Thomas J. Urban Sr. Surviving family includes her husband of 53 years, Andrew J. Bomba, Dunnellon, Fla.; children, Susan M. Casey, Trinity, Fla.; Andrew J. Bomba Jr., and wife, Holly H. Brinton, Phoenixville, Pa.; and Anthony B. Bomba, and wife, Jean, Saylorsburg, Pa.; grandchildren, Erich A. Casey and Tyler J. and Megan E. Bomba; stepgrandchildren, Ryan Marroquin and Samantha H. Brinton; sister, Shirley, widow of George Duris; brother, Eugene Urban; and sister, Sharon, wife of James Ortag, all of Johnstown; and brother, John P. Urban Jr.,  Manheim, Pa. A celebration of life service for Bernie will be held at noon Saturday, Dec. 7, at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, 430 Tioga St., Johnstown, the Very Rev. Mark S. Begly, VF, officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Humane Society of Marion County, P.O. Box 1542, Ocala, Fla. 34478-1542, or by calling 352-873-7387.
